Founding of the GMR Group. Was the CEO of ERSA/ CPFL Renováveis, a major player in renewable energy in Brazil. He has participated in the development of hydroelectric power plants, wind farms, thermal power plants, biomass and solar generation plants.

Partner of Pátria Investimentos, managing investments in infrastructure. He was a Director of Banco Nacional de Desarrollo Económico y Social (BNDES) in Brazil and leading member of the Executive Board of crisis management in the electricity sector. He was the Executive Director of JP Morgan Brazil, after having achieved the position of Vice President of Operations for this bank. Between 1990 and 1995 he was Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee of CAEMI Group.

Partner of BTG Pactual, operating in the private equity area, responsible for investments in infrastructure assets. He was a senior investment officer for five years at Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (Inter-American Development Bank) in Washington, responsible for structuring the funding for large projects in Latin America. He worked for five years at JP Morgan.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering at Escuela Politécnica de São Paulo (USP).

Partner of Pátria Investimentos. He was CO-CEO of ERSA/CPFL Renováveis. Previously, he was Senior Manager of the energy arm at Vale do Rio Doce. He worked for four years at JP Morgan in Sao Paulo and New York, in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. He was Senior Associate in the Infrastructure Department at BNDES in Brazil.



As senior manager of the private equity team at BTG Pactual was responsible for the analysis, structuring and execution of several investments mainly in the energy sector. Acted as board member of 7 invested companies, including ERSA. Holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
